Six Feet Apart, but Connected to the Arts

We need the arts and the arts need us. The void of live events and live music has been at the forefront of my mind for months. There has never been a more important time to create opportunities for camaraderie and connection.

What better way to reignite live events and access to the arts than with a summer concert series! In partnership with RS3, JHL is proud to announce the inaugural Tailgates & Tunes. That’s right, we’re bringing live music back to Austin! Tailgates & Tunes is designed to give music fans the live show experience while maintaining social distancing protocols. For as low as $20 per person, guests will enjoy live music in their own “pod” socially distanced from others yet sitting out on the beautiful lawn of the Brushy Creek Amphitheater.  The series will benefit the Central Texas Food Bank.

The safety and well-being of event staff, guests and public is of the upmost importance to our teams and all guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and State of Texas will be followed. Learn more about our safety measure here.

The series kicks off at Brushy Creek Amphitheater with ACM Award-winning recording artist Jack Ingram on Saturday, June 20, followed by Kevin Fowler on Saturday, June 27. A special Fourth of July show will feature Read Southall Band and a post-concert firework display on Saturday, July 4. Additional dates and shows will be announced soon.

In addition to bringing you great music, we are raising funds for the Central Texas Food Bank. Nearly 46,000 Central Texans across 21 counties rely on their services each week; one-third of them are children. When purchasing tickets online, guests will have the opportunity to make a donation to help the fight against hunger. Join us for this safe, family friendly event series and take part in giving back to our community! We’re thrilled to once again enjoy live music!
