Try, Try Again

The day the music died? This afternoon the City of Hutto sent us a letter requiring the immediate cancellation of all events at the Brushy Creek Amphitheater because of rising COVID cases. There goes our vision of socially distanced, yet all together enjoying live music again in the live music capitol… our beloved and now delayed/postponed/who knows it’s 2020…. music series Tailgates & Tunes. I’m disappointed. Couldn’t we all use a little music, human connection, and positivity about now!?

I am literally sick about this and want so much to get us all back out there and working again and getting live music going again. We had every safety protocol in place and then some, we were ready.

But that’s life, isn’t it?! I always say that the only constant is change. That’s never been more true than in 2020. So what do we do now? Well, we keep working, keep rowing the boat and moving ahead the best we can. We keep thinking of ways to make an impact on our community and to be relevant in our areas of expertise.

Over the past few months the JHL events team has become experts in virtual event production. We have created impactful and successful virtual and hybrid (live/virtual) events that have garnered new support for our clients and a whole new business revenue model for JHL. We will keep working to perfect our event strategy and planning skills – live/hybrid/virtual and we will keep doing what we can to be relevant to our clients and our community.

I don’t know about you, but I have about had it with 2020. But I refuse to wish a day away, much less a year. Instead we will simply try, and try again. Thank you for your continued support of JHL.
